Michigan Trip

Playing on the chairlift (we stayed at a ski resort and, as Rocky Mountain snobs, of course made fun of their minuscule ski slopes)

"Mom, fishing isn't going very well, so I'm rock-ing instead!"

Sarah caught the big one of the day!

A fabulous day at Mackinac Island (pronounced "Mackinaw")

On the ferry

Waiting to eat lunch at The Pink Pony

Fueled up and ready for the 8-mile bike ride around the island

The biking brigade

The Dayton crew: Adrian, Natalie (with a baby girl on the way!), Taylor, Zeke, and Shane (a friend from Buffalo)

Location of Mackinac Island (blue) and Boyne Mountain (red)

"Arch Rock"

One of many horse-drawn carriages (no vehicles allowed on the island)

Taylor and Abby on Deer Lake, near Boyne Mountain resort

Playing in Deer Lake

Daytons mini-golfing at the lake

Sarah enjoying mini-golf

A little friend outside our condo; the kids kept very busy picking a feast of berries for him

Now for some "real" golf!

Katie at the wheel--watch out . . .

Sleeping Bear Dune: running down the sand was more fun than climbing up, but the view at the top was spectacular!

Overlook to Lake Michigan
