We had a nice visit to the Columbus Ohio Temple today as a family.

Me (trying to be that great mom who seizes a teaching moment with her children): “The temple is a very special place. Because of the temple, we can be an eternal family.”

Alex: “What?! We can’t be a turtle family!”

(Duly noted . . . “forever” makes much more sense to a four-year-old than “eternal.”)
