Katie-Bug

These are some of my favorite things about Katie:

- her natural cheerfulness . . . it's hard to be around her and not smile.
- her cute observations about the world. ("Look! The moon is melting!" . . . as it slipped behind the clouds . . . or "I let the worm go back to its family.")
-her fettish for shortening people's names: "Ab," "Al," "Lub and Pup"--Alex's lovey and puppy . . . today I heard her telling her friends Charlotte and Chloe that she wanted to call them "Char" and "Chlo."
- when she says excitedly, "I have a 'i-dan-do!'" (an idea that we can do).
- her snuggliness.
- her bright blue eyes and the intensity they take on as she tells a story.

I feel so blessed to be her mama!
