Happy B-day to Katie-Bug last Monday! (Abby and I made this cake ourselves. Do you think we should go professional?) :)
What a precious little girl. She wins hearts everywhere we go with her huge, beautiful, blue eyes; her mischievious smile; and her sweet nature. Katie's language has just exploded these past two months. It's so cute to hear her put sentences together. The longest one she has come up with yet was the other night when she reported: "Mom, I tell Daddy wipe Babby bum-bum." (That was actually quite helpful, since Abby was "stuck" and needed a messenger, and I was busy changing Alex's diaper!) She calls herself "Datie" and calls Abby "Babby" or just "Babb," which is so cute. We love you, Bug!

Hi, it looks like a fun birthday!! We wish we could have been there. I loved the cake and I'm sure Katie thought it was a beautiful, wonderful tasting treat! She sure looks happy. Thanks for bringing Alex to Salt Lake so we could spend some time with you both. It was great. Love and kisses to you all.

Carrie--she is so big! I can't believe how much older both she and Abby look! I can't wait to see them. Thanks again so much for that trip over MLK day (making mine possible). I had been craving that time with you and the family so much! I hope all is going well... especially with those crazy ice-storms you guys are having!
