A New Friend

Well, we have had an addition join our family this week--but not THE addition we've been anticipating. As you can see, our baby boy is still tucked safely inside my huge belly. (I decided it was time to throw pride to the wind and post a 9-months-along-puffy-face-and-all picture!)

Anyway, we have acquired a cute, very entertaining little gerbil named Jane. Abby and Katie are both completely fascinated with her! Abby did banish her to the kitchen last night though, because Jane's wild antics on her exercise wheel were keeping her awake. This marks our first official pet that we haven't caught by ourselves!

thanks for the pic!!! if that is a puffy face, well, then it suits you!! you are beautiful as always, carrie.

i have a hamster named furbit who would like to meet jane. he thinks she is real purty! perhaps they can have a play date some time (smiles) ...

you are brave to bring ANOTHER sentient being into the house shortly before jr. joins you. i wonder if you will put him in the kitchen with jane when he keeps YOU up with his "antics??"

Yikes! I can't believe you have a GERBIL. Maybe I just had too many bad experiences with pets as a child, but I don't think we'll ever move beyond a fish. Still, congratulations!

How cute little Jane is. I once had a gerbal but Wiskers ate the head off... yikes. Your belly is so cute, I think you look smaller than you did with Abby and Katie! You look great.

You look great Carrie - you've got that glow! Its going to be so much fun having a boy after two girls, we just love our little tyke. Although, you may want to move important things very very high for the next four years.

What a cute pet. Can the girls hold her or is she too fast? Your cute pregnant belly is something to be proud of. :)

Bob, you look awesome! That's a very nice looking bulge and I'm sure in less than a week it will be the cutest nephew in the whole world! (besides the other three I already have, of course...) I'm looking forward to meeting him in November!

Yay! So fun to hear from you! St. Louis, huh? The things we do for the sake of our livelihood, right? :)
Dave's job brought us to San Diego and I am missing "home" very, very much! Your family is beautiful - such cute girls! Can't wait to see the boy version! Keep in touch!

You HAVE to take those picures of yourself so you can complare how beautifully skinny you look 6 months postpartum.

You look so cute all pregnant! And you're a good sport to get a gerbil and new baby all in the same month. Hope you're feeling OK!

It's good to read updates and see that you all are doing well! Katie has grown up so much since we last saw you! And your neighborhood looks so nice and peaceful... it looks like you guys are loving being there-- although we miss you here in Spokane! And last but not least, we are so excited for your upcoming due-date! You look beautiful and we are excited to see the little handsome boy to soon join your family! Good luck with everything in these next few weeks!
